This week on April 3 and 4 the Middle East Network
Operations Group (MENOG) took place at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beirut. This
event, which was hosted by Ogero, the American University of Beirut, and the
Internet Society Lebanon Chapter, focused on bringing together a variety of
members from the technical community to discuss vital topics such as IPv6
deployment, interconnection landscape, etc…
Naturally, the attendees invited included a myriad of
internet and tech stakeholders, providers, and experts who exchanged
information and performed presentations about the current situation and
prospects of relevant tech information among the topics such as those mentioned
above.
Ogero, which is a significant actor as a provider in the
Lebanese Internet context, took part in such presentations as the opening
speech for the event was done by none other than Ogero’s Chairman, Mr. Imad
Kreidieh as well as the IPv6 Deployment presentation by head of Ogero’s IT
department, Mr. Ahmad Itani.
